Famous cinematographer to return south from Bollywood for 'Thalapathy 66'?

Earlier today, we reported to you that Thalapathy Vijay and Pooja Hegde starrer 'Beast', directed by Nelson, will release worldwide on April 13. On the other hand, the superstar actor is set to start shooting for his next, 'Thalapathy 66', a Tamil-Telugu bilingual project directed by Vamshi Paidipally.

Previously, reports surfaced over the internet that Karthik Palani, who is the cinematographer of the mega-budget film 'Adipurush', will crank the camera for the upcoming venture. But now, it seems otherwise. Sources say that the renowned cinematographer Ravi K Chandran would handle the camera for 'Thalapathy 66'.

Ravi K Chandran has already worked as a cinematographer in Tamil films like Honest Raj, Minsara Kanavu, Kandukondain Kandukondain, Citizen, Kannathil Muthamittal, Boys, Aayudha Ezhuthu, 7am Arivu, Aditya Varma and many Hindi and Telugu films. The famous Bollywood DOP is returning to the south Indian industry for 'Thalapathy 66'.

It is said that Rashmika Mandanna will play the female lead role opposite Vijay in t'Thalapathy 66' and Thaman S will compose the music for the film. According to the speculations, the upcoming film will be a family entertainer in which Thalapathy might play a dual role and one of the roles is said to be a person with the mental disorder 'Erotomania'.
