Of late, in almost all the film industries, the most common issue that has been prevalent happens to be the accusations of many heroines and upcoming actresses that there's casting couch existing in the industry, and many actresses accused actors, directors and producers of indulging in casting couch.
With the Me too hashtag, the movement had turned wider than expected, and the revelations on many top names in the industry had created huge shock. Recently, Bollywood actress Richa Badra has opened up on how casting couch had impacted her career itself.
Starting her career as a child artist in 2002, she had later turned heroine, and her positive was her bubbly looks and performance, and she quit films when she was getting more offers, and after marriage she never attempted to make reentry as well. She revealed that whenever actresses seek opportunities, makers ask them to sleep with them, and though she said she did not want to reveal names, she attributed this as the reason for quitting films. She added that even post her marriage, many makers demanded to have sex for offers.
