Popular Bollywood actress Amrita Rao and husband RJ Anmol officially confirmed on Monday that they are expecting their first child.

Amrita shared a picture with her husband, revealing that she is in the ninth month of her pregnancy. The actress also apologized to her fans for keeping the news a secret until now. The caption on her post read, "For YOU it's the 10th Month...But for US, it's THE 9th !!! Surprise Surprise ..Anmol and I are in our NINE'th month Already !! Too excited to share this good news with You my Fans And Friends ( sorry had to keep it tucked in my Belly All this long ) But It's True. the Baby is Coming Soon. An exciting journey for me, @rjanmol27 and our Families. Thank you universe. And thank you ALL. Keep blessing (sic)." According to a report, Amrita and her husband had decided to initially share the news only with their loved ones as Amrita wanted her pregnancy period to be a private affair.

Amrita Rao married RJ Anmol in a private ceremony in May 2016 after dating for several years. The actress, who is best known for her roles in the famous Bollywood films Main Hoon Na, Ishq Vishk, and Vivah, was last seen in the 2019 film Thackeray alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The movie was a biopic on Balasaheb Thackeray, where Amrita played the role of his wife Mina Tai.
