Sushant Singh Rajput (34), the TV actor-turned-Bollywood star, on Sunday committed suicide at his Mumbai home. Known for his excellent performances in 'M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story' and 'PK', the 'Kedarnath actor was found hanging.
Previously a star TV artist, he quit the TV industry to take a bold plunge into Bollywood. His maiden venture 'Kai Po Che!' in 2013 gave him a good start. Last seen in 'Chhichhore', the 2019 film, he was once linked up to his 'Raabta' colleague Kriti Sanon.
The youngster, who always wore a smile on his face, came across as a strong-minded person after the debacle of 'Raabta'. "I have conditioned myself in a way that no matter what happens on Friday, I will be okay on Monday," he was quoted as saying by India Today months after the failure of the film.
On June 3, just days before he committed suicide, Sushant wrote on Instagram an emotional note addressing his late mother. "Blurred past evaporating from teardrops. Unending dreams carving an arc of smile and a fleeting life, negotiating between the two. Maa," the actor penned.
On June 9, his ex-manager Disha Salian committed suicide. She reportedly jumped off a building in Mumbai and breathed her last before she could be brought to the hospital. Disha was a celebrity talent manager.
