This was unexpected.  The first scene that Balakrishna shot for 'NTR' pertains to that legendary scene in 'Dana Veera Soora Karna'.  It was an unprecedented moment when the Nata Simha courageously got into the Duryodhana mode.  

The makers have released raw footage from the scene shot today.  Balayya is seen literally imitating his father, unafraid of the comparisons that will be made.  The actor attended today's launch event in the Duryodhana get-up, keeping the crown on his head throughout the event!

The 1977 mythological film, which NTR himself wrote and directed, incidentally also starred Balakrishna and his brother Harikrishna.  Kondaveeti Venkata Kavi penned the dialogues.  It may be noted that the film's shoot was completed in just 44 days.
