The organizers of a private Film Awards function which is to be held later this month has irked evergreen actor Arvind Swamy who has slammed the event and has also minced no words in criticizing the dubious methods used for the nominations and winners.

It is common knowledge that most of these Awards organizers usually decide who the winners are in advance and then make it look like the selection has been made through a poll. Similarly the representatives of the function apparently contacted Arvind Swamy stating that he won the Awards for last year`s Thani Oruvan`. The actor had thanked them but said that he would not be able to attend. Arvind then stated that "Some of these awards are so funny, they invite & tell you that u have won, you tell them Thank you but you can't attend d function & then.." "Just give it to anyone you like, all actors are deserving for their effort and conviction... Don't have to make it look like polls."
