Touted by producer Bellamkonda Suresh himself as the biggest money grosser in Venkatesh's career, Bodyguard celebrates its 50-days run today. It was released on Jan 14.

Venky's second film in Suresh's banner (Nagavalli being the first one) hinged on the performances of its lead pair – Venky and Trisha. Venky attributed the film’s success to the fact that women audience liked it a lot.

Suresh expressed gratitude towards the audience for making Bodyguard a big success. Director Gopichand Malineni thanked the entire unit members for contributing their mite in making the film a hit.

The film clashed with Businessman. A feel-good movie, Bodyguard yet failed to live up to its potential, while its competitor broke all the records. In a way, it was an under-rated movie.
