Bodyguard awarded clean U

  • IndiaGlitz, [Monday,January 09 2012]

Bodyguard, which is slated for Jan. 14 release, was today awarded clean U. It had underwent the mandatory Censor procedure today afternoon. The clean U goes to prove that the film is devoid of any traces of vulgarity. This will only help the film position itself as a wholesome family entertainer.

Produced by Bellamkonda Suresh, the film has Venkatesh and Trisha playing the leads. With the trailers already making it clear that Venky has gone out of his way to make us laugh, Bodyguard is expected to make the audience laugh all through.

Much has been written about the film and how Gopichand Malineni (director) has made appropriate changes to the script to make it more compatible with Telugu nativity. Since the film's plot has a canny resemblance to that of Salman Khan's Bodyguard (2011), comparisons are bound to be drawn. In this light, the director is said to have taken care to present it with more care.

The film was earlier scheduled to release on Jan. 12. Like Businessman and Poola Rangadu, this Sankranthi release too saw postponement.
