As reported earlier, a young actress had filed a case against 'Honey Bee 2' director Jean Paul Lal and actor Sreenath Bhasi and technicians Anirudh and Anoop for cheating her by not paying her remuneration as promised and making lewd comments against her. According to her complaint, the team had also used a body double of hers to shoot an obscene scene. A case has been registered against four of the accused under sections 420 (cheating) and 354 (attempting to outrage the modesty of a woman) of the IPC.
According to the recent development of the case, the Kerala police have watched a copy of the CD of the film on Saturday, to check if the Honey Bee 2 team have used a dupe for the scene. Since a CD cannot be produced in the court as a material of evidence, the Police have asked the original copy of the movie that was submitted to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). “On verification of the censored copy, we noticed a body double was used. So, we have to examine the copy sent for certification to confirm this. Further steps will be initiated after verifying the copy,” said Thrikkakara Assistant Commissioner of Police P P Shams.
The costume designer and the makeup man of the film have also given their statements to the police, confirming that there were differences and issues between the makers and the actress.
