Vijay Sethupathi is blazing his own path in South Indian cinema playing the lead role in several films and also taking on challenging negative and character roles in other films. His much-awaited villain avatar is in 'Master' opposite Thalapathy Vijay set to release in June if the coronavirus pandemic gives way. He is also playing the antagonist in the Telugu movie 'Uppenna' produced by Sukumar who also approached him for his directorial movie 'Pushpa' starring Allu Arjun in the lead.
It is said that Vijay Sethupathi liked the negative character of a forest officer but had hesitation due to the fact that there are controversies in real life about Andhra foresters gunning down Tamils in the bordering forests alleging that they are smugglers.
Now Tollywood reports suggest that Sukumar and team are in talks with Bobby Simha to portray the character in place of VJS. 'Pushpa' has Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna as the lead pair while Suniel Shetty and Dhananjaya are also in the cast.
