A textbook cover bearing a photograph of Bhagat Singh has raised the hackles of political parties, teachers and parents in Burdwan, West Benegal. They insist it isn't the revolutionary picture and is an image of actor Bobby Deol, who played the role of Bhagat Singh in '23rd March 1931 Shaheed'.

The book 'Shahid Bhagat Singh' written by Samar Das, is prescribed by the West Bengal Board or Primary Education for schools. But the board rubbishes the charge - "This is a storm over a tea cup. If at all there is a resemblance with the actor, the board cannot be blamed for it as the picture was sketched by a Government Art college artist. It has nothing to with the actor."

But the Forward Bloc isn't convinced with about 200 of their supporters blocking GT road near the Burdwan town for hours on Friday. As per their leader, the book cover was in bad taste and sent the wrong message to youngsters.

We just hope that this turns out to be yet another non-issue and the dust settles down in no time.
