The success story of Indian women storming into the finals of the world cup surely did catch everyone`s attention. It was undoubtedly a team effort, but the captain`s aggressive approach to batting and handling pressure formed the key.

As a token of appreciation, the Telangana Badminton association presented a BMW to Indian Women`s cricket team Captain Mithali Raj for taking the post of highest run getter in women`s One Day Internationals. With 6000 runs in her kitty and the tag for runner up in Women`s world cup, it certainly is a well-deserved price indeed.
