Blockbuster filmmaker and writer Dennish Joseph passed away

Molllywood's renowned filmmaker and screenwriter Dennis Joseph passed away on Monday evening. The 64-year-old hitmaker died of a cardiac arrest at a private hospital in Kottayam. He is survived by his wife Leena, son Jose, and daughters Elizabeth and Rosy.

Dennis entered the movie industry as a screenwriter with the 1985 movie Eeran Sandhya. He had penned some of the biggest ever blockbuster in Malayalam cinema including Nirakkoottu, Rajavinte Makan, Shyama, New Delhi, No. 20 Madras Mail, Kottayam Kunjachan, Akashadoothu, Palayam, and FIR.

dennis josephHaving worked with almost every superhit filmmaker and top actor in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Dennish had also directed 5 movies - Agrajan, Thudar Katha, Appu, Adharvam, and Manu Uncle. His directorial Manu Uncle starring Mammootty in the lead role won the National Film Award for Best Children’s Film.
