A blast outside a court chamber at a Lucknow court today severely injured one lawyer and mildly injured three others. Early reports say that about ten people hurled crude bombs with the aim of harming Sanjeev Lodhi, joint secretary of the Lucknow bar association.
As per Lodhi, he complained against a few judicial officers in the past. That’s why the affected officers may be wanting to eliminate him or threaten him.
The blast site is inside the collectorate in Hazratganj. Shockingly, it is located just one km away from the Uttar Pradesh Assembly.
The incident once again highlights the pathetic state of law and order in some parts of the country.
