Earlier in the week, BJYM President and Bengaluru MP Tejasvi Surya was in Hyderabad to campaign for the BJP ahead of the GHMC elections. The news is that he has been booked for allegedly trespassing into the Osmania University campus with his supporters based on a complaint by the OU Registrar.
As per the police, Surya threw open the gates and forced himself into the University on Tuesday.
The BJP, on its part, has condemned the KCR government. Y Satya Kumar tweeted that the TRS government is "petrified by its own incompetence and misdeeds, so much so that they are stooping to new lows by registering a case against Tejasvi Surya." He added that BJP will "fight tooth and nail against the despotic, Nizam rule of TRS!"
Bhupender Yadav, the National General Secretary of the BJP, wrote that the case against Surya shows the "desperation of the Telangana government". He further said, "KCR is clearly rattled having sensed a reinvigoration of the revolutionary spirit in the youth of Telangana."
