We have always known November 14 as Children’s Day. It is celebrated on the day of Nehru’s birthday as he was fond of the little ones. However some BJP MPs are not so impressed with the idea.

As many as 100 Bjp parliamentarians have written to the Prime Minister Modi to disassociate Nehru’s name from Children’s day. However they are likely to come to a deal with November 14 identified as Uncle’s Day or Chacha Diwas.

They have also demanded that December 26 be celebrated as the Children’s Day as it marks the birthday of Guru Gobind Singh martyred themselves against the Mughals. The MPs stated that  it would be a reminder to the children on the importance of having faith in one’s own courage and the drive to fight for what is right.
