The BJP has on Monday unveiled its manifesto ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The saffron party said that it "aspires to make India the third largest economy of the world by 2030". "By this, it's implied that we commit to make India a USD 5 trillion economy by 2025 and USD 10 trillion economy by 2032," the party said.

One of its key promises pertains to farmers. "For all the farmers in the country, we will implement PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. We’d ensure pension for small and marginal farmers after 60 years of age," it added, announcing a big promise.

The Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan scheme will be expanded to cover all small shopkeepers. "We are committed to bringing down the percentage of families living below the poverty line to a single digit in the next five years," BJP further said.

For women, the party has a quota promise. "Our party is committed to 33% reservation in parliament and state assemblies through a constitutional amendment," the manifesto said.

"We will launch a new scheme to provide collateral-free credit up to ₹50 lakh for entrepreneurs," it further added.

Right to Service has been promised to ensure service delivery. In the field of health, the government will set up one Medical College or Post Graduate Medical College in every district, through public or private participation, by 2024.

What about Ram Mandir? "We will explore all possibilities within the framework of the Constitution and all necessary efforts to facilitate the expeditious construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya," the manifesto said.
