Political Leader seeks Rajinikanth's intervention in Cauvery dispute

Owing to controversies over what he has spoken in the past, Superstar Rajinikanth has stopped speaking anything about sensitive issues in the recent years. However there will be an expectation among a section of public for him to raise his voice whenever a political or social crisis arises.

The recent spurt of violence over the sharing of Cauvery river water between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu is no exception and this time the expectations on Rajinikanth to speak up is only high as he is a Karnataka native who has settled in Tamil Nadu.

Now this demand has got a public face as a prominent political leader of Tamil Nadu has requested Rajinikanth's intervention in this burning issue.

Dr.Tamizhisai Soundararajan, the President of Tamil Nadu unit of Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP) which rules the Country at the center, has said that eminent people like Rajinikanth who are common to Karnataka and Tamil Nadu should try to bring about peace and cordial relationship between the two states involved in this centuries old Cauvery water sharing dispute.
