BJP's Leader of Opposition Gulab Chand Kataria stirred up a new controversy with his statement against the Muslim community yet again.
Kataria, in an announcement yesterday, stated that new laws needed to be established to change the plight of the country, and added that the country was not moving forward as they (Muslims) were putting pressure by having more children while the other communities have been limiting themselves to two.
“We can have only two children while they can have as many children as they want. This is spoiling the population balance. Imagine what would be the scenario in the next 50 years. If we are limited to two children, they should also be. Only then can the country be taken forward. All efforts we make towards development go waste,” the LoP said on Saturday during a public function in Udaipur. This is reportedly the second time the BJP politician has made a controversial statement against the community in the last few weeks. He earlier said that Muslims cannot be considered a minority in the country as they have a huge population.
Kataria was unanimously chosen as the Leader of Opposition in the Assembly after BJP was defeated in the recently held Assembly polls in Rajasthan.
