Salman Khan's 'Dabangg 3' is in the news for a controversial reason. The Internet is agog with a pic in which two cine workers are seen standing on wooden planks below which is seen a Shivling. The big-ticket film has been shot in Madhya Pradesh's Maheshwar.

As soon as the pic became viral, a BJP MLA from the State demanded that an FIR should be filed against Salman Khan. Although the actor has done no wrong, there arose a war of words between sections of BJP and Congress politicians.

A BJP leader claimed that Hindu sentiments have been offended time and again ever since the Congress party came to power in the State last December.

Meanwhile, Salman clarified that the Shivling was placed below the wooden planks to respect its sanctity.
