BJP-JDU alliance falls in Bihar; New govt coming

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has ended his alliance with the BJP. He, on Tuesday, made everything possible to dump the NDA. The JDU supremo is now going to team up with RJD.
Tejashwi Yadav will be calling the shots in the new government, as per political analysts. As per Times Now, he has already asked for Home Ministry for his party. The Bihar Assembly Speaker's post, too, is wanted by him.
Nitish Kumar's charisma has been on a steadfast decline over the past few years. He has survived this far because of the BJP, mostly. In the 2015 elections, he could survive only because of his alliance with the RJD.
Those who have a good memory of the RJD misrule during the Lalu Prasad Yadav days are blaming Nitish for his misadventure. "Bihar will now suffer at the hands of the Lalu Yadav clan. Nitish will have no option but to play second fiddle," wrote columnist Minhaz Merchant.
There is a rumour that Nitish has been offered by some Opposition parties the privilege of being the PM face in the 2024 alliance if he calls it quits with the BJP. But this is mere speculation at this point in time.
