The GST dialogues in Vijay’s ‘Mersal’ created a wildfire of controversies and national debate. The BJP party has been receiving flak from all corners because of their non-democratic comments on the film.

In additionto being condemned by all other political parties including Rahul Gandhi and P.Chidambaram, now the Tamil Nadu’s ruling party AIADMK have come forward to show its support for the ‘Mersal’ cause.

In an interview to presspersons, Minister Ma Foi Padiarajan stated that Vijay’s ‘Mersal’ has the support of the TN Government. It is also notable that Minister Jayakumar has already opposed BJP’s remark on ‘Mersal’.

The BJP has received bad press owing to its condemnation of the film's GST dialogue and the party's stand has created disappointment among the common mass.
