Days after the teaser of Jr NTR’s character in SS Rajamouli's 'RRR' was released, the Telangana BJP is only intensifying its antagonism towards the big-ticket film.

On Saturday, BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that Komaram Bheem, who led a struggle against the Asaf Jahi dynasty, shouldn't be portrayed as a Muslim. "Showing his character (played by Jr NTR) with a skull cap is not acceptable," he said, asking if the 'Baahubali' director would dare to portray AIMIM leader Owaisi with a vermilion and a saffron kanduva.

He warned that BJP workers will obstruct the release of 'RRR' if the 'distortion' is not rectified.

Adilabad MP Soyam Bapu said that theatres will be burned down if Rajamouli doesn't change the depiction.

The BJP leaders were speaking at Jodeghat of Kerameri Mandal in Kumuram Bheem-Asifabad district.
