BJP goes after Jagan for being 'anti-Hindu'

Just a few weeks ago, large sections of BJP supporters, especially those on social media, were busy fantasizing that YSRCP will join the NDA. This happened in the wake of reports that Jaganmohan Reddy is fond of Narendra Modi.
Cut to August, the saffron party has turned the tables by accusing the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister of "fooling Hindus". "Jagan Mohan Reddy refused to lamp light before inaugurating a program in the US. He just fooled the AP Hindus for votes, by visiting temples. He was a Hindu for votes, like Rahul Gandhi. The script was well written by Prashant Kishor. Bengal can learn now," the BJP has tweeted out.
The saffron party is clearly trying to play the Hindu card to widen its base in the State. Analysts are of the view that this may not work. If the BJP has to occupy the TDP space, its politics and vocabulary have to be novel.
