BJP gives ticket to actress Madhavi Latha

Madhavi Latha, who was seen in films such as 'Nuvvila', is now going to contest on a BJP ticket from Guntur West. This seat was hotly contested within the BJP by Kanna Lakshmi Narayana, who was intent on getting his son on board. The Jana Sena, TDP and YSRCP are set to field strong candidates in this constituency.
Madhavi Latha was in the news last year when the controversial starlet Sri Reddy bad-mouthed Pawan Kalyan's mother. She claimed to be a Pawan Kalyan fan. Months later, she joined the saffron party.
She has hit out at the TDP party's trolls for having a burn over her candidacy. I am happy that they are going through bouts of acidity because of me, she said.
