The BJP on Tuesday accused the Congress party of orchestrating the shortage of beds and anti-India propaganda during the ongoing pandemic. The ruling party accused the Opposition party of spreading a toolkit among his cadres to pull off the subterfuge.
As per the toolkit, terms like ‘Indian strain’ and 'Modi strain' have to be used on social media by cadres and others. Also, the blocking of hospital beds must be done to engineer artificial scarcity. Besides, assisting of foreign journalists with sightings of funerals and dead bodies has to be carried out. "Facilitate journalists who use 'dramatic' pictures, make sure their reporting is magnified," a point in the alleged toolkit says.
The BJP has started lashing out at the Congress party over the alleged subversion. "The #CongressToolkitExposed clearly instructs cadre & ecosystem to block beds in hospitals to create artificial scarcity. No wonder entire ecosystem pounced on me with fake propaganda from the minute I exposed bed allocation irregularities in Bengaluru," wrote Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya.
BL Santhosh of the BJP said, The Congress has questioned PM Cares, doubted experts, encouraged vaccine hesitancy, invented ventilator controversy and so on. History will hold them accountable for their misadventure."
On its part, the Congress party has started denying the allegations. "BJP is propagating a fake "toolkit" on “COVID-19 mismanagement” and attributing it to AICC Research Department. We are filing an FIR for forgery against JP Nadda and Sambit Patra. When our country is devastated by COVID, instead of providing relief, BJP shamelessly concocts forgeries," said Rajeev Gowda, the National Spokesperson of the Congress party.
