The Trailer for 'The Accidental Prime Minister' has got the BJP's endorsement. The official social media handle of the ruling party has talked about the Hindi film that is based on Sanjay Baru's book of the same name.

"A riveting tale of how a family held the country to ransom for 10 long years. Was Dr. Singh just a regent who was holding on to the PM’s chair till the time heir was ready? Watch the official trailer of 'The Accidental Prime Minister', based on an insider’s account, releasing on 11 Jan!" the saffron party has tweeted out.

To many, this tweet confirms that BJP has an interest in the "propaganda movie". Critics are lashing out that the Anupam Kher-starrer is a dishonest film that will give a fictional account of the UPA years. It shows Sonia Gandhi as a selfish leader who curbed the will of then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

When the film releases on January 11, there surely is going to be much debate about what it depicts.
