BJP bets big on GHMC by fielding Amit Shah, Yogi as it prepares for 2023

The BJP is leaving no stone unturned to give a tough fight to the TRS in the GHMC polls. Commentators are saying that it wants to scare the daylights out of KCR even though it knows well that it won't be winning the polls by any stretch of the imagination.
The saffron party's only aim is to create a Hindu vote bank rather than winning the polls, it seems. Tejasvi Surya and Smriti Irani have already spoken out against the TRS-MIM's allege appeasement of illegal immigrants living in Hyderabad. Bandi Sanjay has gone to the extent of calling for a surgical strike (not literally, but metaphorically) against Rohingyas, Pakistanis and Afghanistanis living in Hyderabad. The BJP wants Hindus to believe that they have been given a safe harbour by the MIM.
And now, after setting the agenda (or trying to set an agenda), the BJP is going to go the whole hog from December 27-29. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Modi's shadow, is going to campaign in Hyderabad later this month. Before him, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath will be present. BJP National President JP Nadda, needless to say, is going to be there.
The saffron party is hardly seeing the polls as a municipal election. It seems to be thinking of the 2023 Assembly elections already.
