So how many of you are Broadway buffs? From the west the biggest clicks of “Mary Poppins” musical which still rings and digs our memory, and how cool would it be if Tamil Cinema were to adapt a portion of some of the Broadway musical theme? Well yes, Biryani directed by Venkat Prabhu and with Karthi in the lead is the film to embrace it for the first time in Tamil Cinema.

In a rewind to 1960, the movie will have a song shot in the exact theme that is portrayed in Broadway musicals, the backdrop, stage settings and the characters and what not. Although more details are yet to come out, considering it to be a Venkat prabhu direction, we can expect nothing short of enigma. And yet another interesting feature is that, with the songs completion, it will be a wrap to Biryani’s shooting schedule.
