Coming from a prestigious family background, Suman, grandson of Akkineni Nageswara Rao and nephew of star actor Akkineni Nagarjuna stepped into Telugu industry a decade back and is on his way to make a mark in the lines of his elders.

After completing a course in direction and screenplay writing, Sumanth stepped in to cinema with 'Prema Katha' (1999), directed by Ram Gopal Varma. After a few duds, the first hit in his career came with 'Sathyam' co-starring Genelia D'Souza in the cast.

He gauged many ups and downs in his acting career yet never refrained himself from his endeavors. 'Yuvakudu' unveiled his talent on screen but was not commercially successful while ‘Snehamante Idera’ was an offbeat story that proved his mettle in the character of a young chap determined to continue as a defense officer in spite of his mother's concern. ‘Gowri’ is one of his films that registered a hit in the year 2004. 'Godavari' a critically acclaimed film, directed by Shekhar Kammula is the biggest commercial hit in his career so far. ‘Chinnodu’, ‘Pourudu’ and ‘Madhumasam’ are few of the films which reaped rave reviews among the filmgoers.

Failures never deterred his perseverance, and the determined actor is looking forward to portray some memorable characters in the years to come. Sumanth celebrates his birthday today on 9th February.

Indiaglitz wishes this upcoming star a most memorable birthday and a great career ahead.
