If you catch Bipasha Basu grabbing an ample bite of junk food for days in succession, don't be surprised. Deprived of some of her favourite snacks during the shoot of 'Players', it was pretty much with a vengeance that the dusky beauty ordered ton loads of high fat food items for herself. This happened once she was through shooting for her much publicised two piece bikini shoot for 'Players'.

"Bipasha stayed away from junk food for long as she wanted to be in a picture perfect shape before she donned the bikini for this Abbas-Mustan thriller," informs a senior crew member, "It is a well known fact that Bipasha is someone who is extremely conscious about fitness. When the 'men in white' informed her that she would be required to wear a bikini for an important sequence in the film, she was game for it. However she wanted time to get her body in best shape before facing the camera and hence requested the director duo to inform her about the day of shoot well in advance."

Since everything about 'Players' was quite well planned, she was told that the shoot would take place three months down the line.

"Bipasha last wore a bikini for 'Dhoom 2' and she took it up as a challenge to stay away from junk food in totality," says a close associate of the actress, "For full three months, she worked on her fitness and followed an intense diet routine so that she looked perfectly in shape for camera."

However as (ill) luck would have it the shoot, which was supposed to take place in New Zealand, got postponed for a few days that left Bipasha with no other choice but to extend the routine further.

"Bipasha used to express her mock anger with her about the cravings that she was getting due to sustained abstinence from junk food," says Abbas Burmawala, "She used to constantly push us into getting the shoot done sooner than later lest she lost all control on herself."

All was well eventually though because the moment her bikini shot was canned, it was one big party time for all cast and crew members.

"Yes, I still remember that she threw a huge party that day for everyone on the sets," the co-director adds, "She ordered for pizzas, pastas, ice creams and all other variety of junk food. Just looking at her hogging on to all of it one after another made for a pretty picture. Imagine the shock she would have got had we told her to shoot for the bikini sequence again."
