Of late speculations were rife that ace fashion designer Vikram Phadnis who was going to make his directorial debut with movie title, 'Nia', has been shelved. However official sources from his side clarify that there is no truth to the reports and that the film will go on floors this winter.

Also it was rumoured that Phadnis's close friend and actress Bipasha Basu who was roped in to play the lead has opted out of the project. But, the actress when contacted strongly confirmed her commitment to the film and stated that she will allot dates to the film as soon as the schedule is locked. Said Bipasha, "I said yes to the project because i believed in Vikram and his concept. As soon as he is ready to start, i will give my dates. Vikram is an old friend and i will always be supportive towards his first venture."

Bipasha was last seen on big screen with horror thriller 'Alone'.
