Biopic of Osmania student leader announced

Remember Sandy who played Vangaveeti Ranga and Vangaveeti Radha in RGV's 'Vangaveeti'? He is going to play yet another real-life character in a Telugu-Hindi biopic.

A biopic of Osmania University's iconic student leader George Reddy, the film will be directed by Jeevan Reddy of 'Dalam' fame. It will chronicle the history of student politics as well as the social, economic and cultural conditions in then undivided Andhra Pradesh between early 1960s and 70s.

It will be shot in Hyderabad, Warangal, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, and parts of Kerala.

To be made at a huge cost, the political period film will be produced by two production companies. The title and First Look will be released soon.

Sudhakar Ekkanti of 'Sairat' (Marathi) fame is going to be the cinematographer.
