Who says opportunities are closed for Bindu Madhavi. Avakai Biryani (remember anyone?) failed her rather badly. However, when Tollywood closed doors on her, Kollywood came calling her. Veppam, dubbed in Telugu as Sega, changed her fortunes. Many critics have counted Bindu, the Chittoor girl, as a worthy debutante of 2011. Since the actress is easy with speaking Tamil, she is not facing any problem with the language.
The actress is now one of the sought-after ones among the fledgling lot in Kollywood! Kazhugu is her forthcoming film in Tamil, where she is cast opposite Krishna Sekhar. Reportedly based on real-life incidents relating to the lives of four persons who unearth the bodies of suicide victims, the film is directed by Sathyasiva. Yet another important film in her kitty is Neer Paravaigal, where she is playing a key role. Produced by Udayanidhi Stalin, the film is based on the travails of village fishermen. The film is directed by National Award-winning talent Sripathy Rangaswamy.
What made the talented director rope in Bindu is her wide and expressive eyes and her physique, which he says is apt for the role. She is playing a Christian girl in the movie.
In this context, it is imperative to talk about the insubstantial role she got to play in Pilla Jamindaru. At a time when the Telugu girl is getting meatier roles in Kollywood, it is sad to see her cast in a meaningless role in a Telugu film.
