No doubt, the present heroines are ready to expose to the maximum extent in the name of glamour. However, most of them won’t dare to play the role of a sex worker as they would feel that it would damage their image.

Putting a full stop to such thoughts, popular heroine and glamour queen Anushka agreed to play the role of ‘Amalapuram Saroja’ for ‘Vedam’. The film brought critical acclaim.

Now, another budding heroine followed the footsteps of Anushka. She is Bindu Madhavi. Of course, she signed up the role for a Tamil film ‘Veppam’ wherein Naani and Nitya Menon played the lead roles. The same is now getting dubbed into Telugu as ‘Sega’.

Talking about her character in that film, Bindu Madhavi of ‘Avakay Biryani’-fame in Telugu says, ‘Though I played the role of a sex worker, the director did not shoot any intimate or vulgar scenes for the film. I can proudly say that an artiste should have the guts to accept any kind of role and I signed up to prove that I am a genuine artiste, especially for a film directed by Anjana Ali Khan and produced by Gautham Menon.’
