‘Bimbisara’ made the most of the Muharram public holiday on Tuesday and mopped up a share amount of Rs 2.52 Cr in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It was its Day 5 at the box office.
The 5-day share of the Nandamuri Kalyanram movie stands at Rs 20.70 Cr in the Telugu States. Add approximately another Rs 3 Cr and you get the worldwide figure.
In Gross terms, ‘Bimbisara’ is reaching the Rs 40 Cr mark. This is the biggest hit in Kalyan Ram’s career, much bigger than ‘Pataas’.
The distributors made half their investment on the first day itself. This made ti clear that ‘Bimbisara’ was headed for a double blockbuster. In the US, the film is slated to cross the half-a-million mark very soon.
The Vassishta-directed movie is going to have a sequel. It will be made on a huge budget by NTR Arts.
