Actor Billy Baldwin sets the record straight about recent accusations by actress Sharon Stone that producer Robert Evans strong-armed her into having sex with Baldwin for a more realistic on-screen affair in their 1993 film "Sliver."

Baldwin took to social media to admit to the fact that he had an affair with Stone but insisted that it was Stone who made advances to him only to turn her down. He wondered how, or rather, how, so many years down the line, Stone was still talking about the same incident. He asked her if she was still in love with him or if she couldn't get over his rejection.

Baldwin also remembered a time when Stone reportedly said to her friend, Janice Dickinson, that she was going to "f-ck" him "until he falls in love" while on the set of one of the films about his dad.

In an unspoken portion of his answer about Stone, Baldwin seemed to indicate that he would dish on her in a tell-all book to explain to himself where it slipped away.

Stone, speaking earlier in a podcast, said that Evans wanted her to go to bed with Baldwin so he would know how to do better in the movie.

This, he doubted, would be necessary in a professional chemistry activity and suggests that the actors use their awesome talents.

Stone's assertions have sounded like similar experiences she has recounted in her book, Greenfield, in which she details how hard it was for women in entertainment to garner success and how vulnerable they felt.

Representatives for Stone did not immediately respond to requests for comment on Baldwin's statements.

Since "Sliver," Baldwin has stopped in pursuit of other endeavors, as he was married to Chynna Phillips at the time, and various films, among them "The Squid and the Whale." Baldwin's response underscores the complexities of Hollywood dynamics and the importance of professionalism on set.
