Bill Gates, the Microsoft co-founder, has contracted coronavirus. The business magnate and investor, who is also a serial philanthropist, is showing mild symptoms.
"I have tested positive for COVID. I am experiencing mild symptoms and am following the experts' advice by isolating until I am healthy again," wrote Gates on Twitter.
Many are using the opportunity to target the vaccines. "I don't believe it, it's a psychological deception. A person silenced the media and advertised a vaccine. He earned billions of dollars. If he says he is now covid-19 positive, it shows that these vaccines don't work. Why is he doing this when he knows the truth?," a Twitter user tweeted about Gates contracting the virus.
The fact of the matter is that vaccines don't keep an individual from catching the virus. They help prevent hospitalization and death. This is the reality whether you are taking Pfizer, Covishield or Covaxin. Only the efficacy levels differ.
