Bilingual is the trend

Since decades Tollywood and Kollywood were making bilingual movies.Vijaya Production started the trend by making Pathala Bhairavi in Tamil with introduction of NTR and SV Rangarao as magician. Later NageshwaraRao, Bhanumathi Ramakrishna followed the path.

When Tollywood started their own studios in Andhra Pradesh, they shifted the production. Again the trend is reverting to past way; Of late some box office movies were made simultaneously in both languages .Few months ago, Aksamantha (Abiyum Naanum in Tamil) made good response in BO. Recent hit in Tamil Ayan has not done well in Telugu. Vishals movies are done in both languages .Mallanna of Tamil Kandasamy is yet another multi crore project awaiting for its release.

According to a leading producer in Telugu, bilinguals are bound to make impact on telugu films; distributors bought those films for huge prices since telugu audience always liked novel films barring the languages. However some producers are of different view they are of the opinion that only good film will survive despite huge promotions
