Actor Karthi who was last seen on screen in the romantic entertainer Dev, is set to return to screens this Diwali with his action movie Kaithi, the second movie of Managaram director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Produced by Dream Warrior pictures SR Prabhu, the movie is releasing on October 25.

Kaithi will have Karthi playing Dilli, a prisoner who helps a police officer played by Narain in dealing with a gang of criminals and the movie revolves around incidents happening in a single night. Kaithi has no heroines and songs, and has music by Sam CS.

When Karthi was asked in a recent interview on clash with Bigil, Karthi responded that Kaithi has got enough number of theatres and Bigil, being a bigger movie has got more theaters. He added that when Petta and Viswasam could release together, Bigil and Kaithi can easily release and succeed.
