By now we have to accept that Atlee has a knack for unusual yet very catchy titles. Following Theri, Mersal Atlee once again joins with Vijay for Bigil. The trailer over two minutes is Vijay magnified three times as Rayappan , Michael and Bigil. Knowing Atlee we are made to guess if these are three different roles or just one with various flashbacks. Vijay as Rayappan seems agressive, probably a fitting flashback should do the trick. Then there is Michael; who seems to be the no nonsense coach with a pinch of rowdism. Vijay donning Bigil in his jersey and delivering some headers in a massive football ground is indeed a delight to watch.

The trailer promises a lot of action ; fights and football take precedence with most of the football scenes drenched with massive VFX. Nayanthara, Yogibabu , Kathir make brief appearances too. Rahman's BGM is sure to hold the key, the production value is simply obvious through the trailer.

Overall this Diwali should be a cracker for Vijay fans, commercial cinema with a heavy ting of women empowerment and football. What more could one ask for.
