Thalapathy Vijay's films face stiff opposition mostly during the time of release and his latest 'Bigil' is no exception. His speech at the audio launch function held on September 19th was a rage with his fans but the ruling party leaders saw differently and started attacking the star at every given opportunity. Recently meat and fish shop owners protested against the posters of the film in which Vijay is seen keeping his leg on the wooden block used to cut the slain animals. A protest started in Coimbatore Collector's office by the meat sellers tearing Vijay's posters.
It is now learned that Thalapathy Vijay fans held talks with the meat and fish stall owners representatives and convinced them that their idol will never hurt the sentiments of anyone in the state and why he has his leg on the block will be known once the movie releases. Vijay fans also gifted them brand new wooden blocks and convinced by this the meat sellers have decided not to pursue the issue any further.
'Bigil' directed by Atlee with music by A.R. Rahman has Vijay and Nayanthara as the lead pair and is releasing for Diwali later this month according to producers AGS Entertainment.
