The film also took the number one slot in the all India Diwali releases overtaking the Hindi biggie 'Housefull 4'. The wholesome family entertainer took 5.26 Crores at the Chennai city, USA - 7Cr., UK-4Cr., UAE-14Cr., North India 2Cr., Andhra-11Cr., Karnataka - 10Cr., Kerala - 11Cr., and trade pundits believe will overhaul the 180 Crores budget in the coming few days.

'Bigil' produced by AGS Entertainment and directed by Atlee has Thalapathy Vijay in two powerful roles as an aging gangster and a football player turned coach with Nayanthara, Kathir, Yogi Babu, Vivek, Daniel Balaji and Jackie Shroff in the cast.
