Biggies of Malluwood unites for another masterpiece

Each of them is the very best in their fields associated with Malluwood film making. The last time when they united made the state proud with one of the finest outcome in Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha. And any one who knows anything about Malluwood cinema will very well know that what we are discussing is all about M.T.Vasudevan Nair- the greatest living writer in Malayalam, Hariharan- the last of the classic breed of directors and Mammootty, the finest actor produced by the state. Now the point of interest is all about their next big project together after a gap of 13 years.

This project not yet titled is tentatively called as Payyamvelli Chanthu is based on the legend of Pazhassi Raja and his trusted lieutenant Thalaikal Chandu. The story will revolve around the first known freedom struggle against British which was initiated by the Pazhassi and his men. Mammootty will play the central character of Thalikal Chandu who was the first to revolt against the British and who mastered the art of guerrilla warfare against the Britishers with his henchmen from the locales. The project which will be the biggest in Malluwood, estimated to be around Rs 6 to 7 crores will be produced by Gokulam Gopalan.

The film which will be cinematographed by Ravivarman and set to music by Ilayaraja, will confirm to international standards of film making. This will be a film for which ever Malayalee can be proud of says the veteran director about the ambitious project.

The shoot for the film will start from December 15 in Kannur while Mammootty has agreed on a 70 days schedule for the film. The rest of the cast is being finalized. The film is expected to grace the theatres by the mid of April as Vishu release
