The statistics just boggles your mind.

400 prints, over one year in the making, institutional finance, insured film, corporate style operations (every technician was paid through cheque), total budget around Rs.27crore...Aparichithudu just looks like beating every film record in existence so far.

But will it break box office records? The film's producer Oscar Ravichandran thinks so, otherwise he wouldn't be releasing the film directly in most places himself.

In Andhra Pradesh, the film's dubbed rights have been sold for a price of Rs. 9 crores. When straight films themselves are made in budgets less than this, the Rs. 9 crores bandied about is again a record.

Those behind Laxmi Ganapathi Films that is releasing it in Telugu are pretty much like Oscar Ravichandran as they have made it to the top by dubbing and distributing hit flicks from Hollywood.

With both Shankar and Vikram enjoying huge following in Telugu, the demand for tickets have been huge. Vikram is confident that Aparichithudu will succeed much like many of his dubbed films. Shankar too is quietly hopeful.

In Hyderabad, there is no escaping the Anniyan fever. Tomorrow all roads will lead to theatres that are releasing this movie.

And one way or another, history is being made.
