Bigg Boss Telugu 2 contestant and winner, Kaushal Manda, earned a massive fan following during his stint in the Bigg Boss house. The fame seemed to have backfired him as he has been forced to file a complaint against the fans at Hyderabad’s Cyber Crime Station after he was subject to relentless online harassment due to a recent fallout.
Kaushal Manda had established the Kaushal Army Foundation to collect funds in an attempt to help cancer patients. The founding members later allegedly accused him of cheating and stated that Kaushal did not use the money he received for the intended purpose. Following the allegation, Kaushal was at the receiving end of abuse from his fans, even though he denied the accusations.
“After Bigg Boss, people were collecting funds in my name and to avoid misuse of my name, I started the Kaushal Army Foundation. I appointed several district and state committee leaders, but I removed some of them due to misconduct. One of the financiers who claimed to make a film with me also joined hands with them and started a smear campaign,” the Bigg Boss winner told media.
Based on his complaint, the police have registered a case against the offenders under Section 67 of the IT Act, and have sought their IP address from Google through a written statement.
