Meanwhile netizens are showing interest in Robert's family thanks to 'Bigg Boss 6', especially his elder sister Alphonsa who was one of the leading glamour actresses in the 90s. She started her career as an item dancer in Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Baasha' in the song 'Ra Ra Ra Ramaiya' and later acted in a small role in Kamal Haasan's 'Panchathantram' directed by Ravikumar. She also acted with Chiyaan Vikram in 'Kadhal Sadugudu'.

Alphonsa was married to Nasser who paired with her in a movie 'Paruva Mazhai' from 2001. She later was involved in a actor Vinod who suddenly died by suicide in 2012 due to financial problems. It is said that Alphonsa also tried to commit suicide as she could not bear the separation from Vinod but her relatives saved her.
