Vanitha Vijayakumar was eliminated from the third season of Bigg Boss Tamil, hosted for the third consecutive time by Kamal Haasan, during the end of the show's third week. By then, she had become the most controversial contestant of the reality show.

While Vanitha was inside the house, an exclusive interview by IndiaGlitz was conducted with dance master Robert, her alleged third husband. Robert had stated that Vanitha Vijayakumar produced the move 'MGR Sivaji Rajini Kamal' which he directed and she wanted the movie to sell and hit upon the idea to spread a rumour that they both had an affair.

However, In another recent exclusive interview, Vanitha has rubbished the claims made by Robert, stating that the two of them were indeed in a relationship for a brief period and that they both moved on their separate ways post the break-up. She further justified her claim, stating that Robert had tattooed her name in huge letters across his arm and that nobody would simply do that for the sake of a mere promotion.
