Shakthi Vasudevan the son of veteran director P. Vasu started his career as a child artiste and acted in the blockbuster hit films 'Nadigan', 'Chinna Thambi' and 'Senthamizh Paatu all directed by his father. P. Vasu then introduced him as a hero in 'Thottaal Poo Malarum' in 2007 following which he gained attention in 'Ninaithale Inikkum'.
However Shakthi did not find much success in his subsequent films and was out of the limelight for a few years. In the inaugural season of 'Bigg Boss' hosted by Kamal Haasan, Shakthi came back into the public eye and was nicknamed as "Triger" Shakthi.
It is now reported that Shakthi has signed on to play the villain in the new movie 'Tiger' written by Muthiaya which is the Tamil remake of the super hit Kannada film 'Tagaru'. Vikram Prabhu and Sri Divya play the lead pair and the project went on floors recently. Fans of Shakthi are hoping that he makes a big splash as a villain in his comeback.
