It is just the fourth day in Bigg Boss house but the rollercoaster of emotions has already started among the housemates. Yesterday we witnessed Suruthi tearing up while talking about the discriminating she faced due to her dusky complexion.
The first promo of day four dropped only a few minutes ago and it is yet another wake-up call for society to change its view on the subaltern society. Namitha Maarimuthu who has entered Bigg Boss as a representative of the Transgender community cried out loud to make a strong statement about how they are treated in society.
She said, “My mom taught me to accept everyone for who they are, but when I came out as Transgender, all I received from my parents were hatred. We have changed but the society has to change its view on us.”
Namitha Maarimuthu was the first Transperson to enter the Bigg Boss house. She is a model and debuted as both an actress and playback singer in the Kollywood movie Nadodigal 2 directed by Samuthirakani. She is the first Indian transgender represented India in Miss Trans Star International. She also participated in Miss Chennai, Miss Pondicherry, Miss Tamil Nadu, and Miss India in Trans Category.
